GenerationSports was formed in 2005 with the aspiration of developing sport in schools and the wider community by giving everyone the opportunity to take part in sport and reach their potential through training and coaching.
GenerationSports evolved from a tennis company that successfully managed 9 tennis club development programs whilst also overseeing the day to day running of the Deal Indoor Tennis Centre. After 10 years in tennis the market place changed and demanded an increase in the delivery of quality sports provision. As a result the provision expanded across a range of sports and GenerationSports was formed. The ideology was to send a team of motivated and qualified coaches into the community and schools to provide and develop the sporting ability of young people in Kent.
In 2005 Generationsports opened the first, school based, Football & Netball academy in East Kent at the Ursuline Sports College and also began to work in many of the 52 schools in the Thanet area.
In the past 6 years GenerationSports have grown stronger as a business while working in partnership with Local Councils, the Primary Care Trust, Adult Education serivice, FE Colleges, Universities, Sports Clubs, Youth Engagement Groups and Primary & Secondary schools.
To date GenerationSports have worked with over 80 schools, engaged over 45,000 children through sports sessions and delivered over 4000 hours of free sports coaching to children.
